Source: Harvested from Nature Estimated size at shipping: 0.5" Sold as: (3 pack) Overview: A beautiful new snail in the hobby, these seem to be closely related to the Blueberry Snails. Note: These guys always come in with lots of tufts of algae on their shells which they carry around. Perhaps a symbiotic relationship which provides the algae with a home and the snail with a natural form of camouflage? Diet: The trick with these is to feed them the proper food. These seem to be filter feeders. We have had good luck feeding them with the Aquarium Co-op Magic Small Fish Feed. With enough water movement, this food will stay suspended in the water column for a long time, allowing these snails to feed. They would probably also eat well on Bacter AE, although we have yet to try it. They have not taken to algae wafers, protein pellets, zucchini, or other traditional snails foods.
