Burmese Lizard Hillstream Loach
Burmese Lizard Hillstream Loach
Estimated size at shipping: 2"-3" Sold as: Unsexed Overview: These fish were collected in Myanmar. While we sometimes see Homaloptera species in the hobby, the other types of "Lizard Hillstream" or "Giraffe Hillstream" loaches are uncommon in the hobby and there is quite a bit of confusion about which is which, so we don't know if it has been scientifically described as of yet, so we don't have a species name. It does appear to be out of the Vanmanenia genus. It has proven to be a very hardy, peaceful, active loach. They constantly flutter their pectoral fins, making a large group of these appear to be a decorative, moving curtain...it really is a stunning sight. We care for these as we would any other hillstream loach. They are easy to feed, grazing on sinking pellets and frozen foods with relish.
