This is a fairly peaceful species of Betta that can be kept in groups of its own species and in community aquariums with other peaceful fish of an appropriate size. Even so, they do spar to set up their social hierarchy, so they may arrive with nipped fins. The damage is cosmetic and will heal up as they settle in. These are young fish and have not yet developed their full colors, but will develop into real beauties as they grow.
